Job Responsibilities:
A Radar Design Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in the Electronic Warfare/Radar business domain with an engineering design background.
The Radar Design Engineer performs the design and development of complex electronic systems with an emphasis in Radar Environment Simulators and Electronic Counter Measure systems.
Provides technical support in product demonstrations and is the customer interface for technical discussions, design reviews, acceptance testing, system installation and maintenance of company products.
The candidate will also support the execution team for major architecture developments and analysis for systems improvement.
Examples include use case generation, evaluation of products and development, and design improvement recommendations to meet customer requirements.
Minimum/Basic Job Qualifications (skills, work experience, education/credentials):
10 years experience in the Electronic Warfare, Radar, or aerospace domains with a BS Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent. Systems Engineer for EW Systems on Radar Environment Simulators or Electronic Countermeasures.
Able to write technical documentation for system concepts of operations, customer requirement specifications as well as able to create and present technical review material for both internal and external customers.
Able to thoroughly understand the design of electronic systems/subsystems that consist of RF and digital hardware, firmware, and GUI/real-time software with the end goal of generating top-level detailed designs using that knowledge.
Able to lead a technical team in defining system and functional block diagrams, then able to decompose into lower level subsystem functional requirements for Software, Hardware, & Test Engineering.
Have Project Management skills in terms of understanding and developing a Work Breakdown Schedule (WBS) for an integrated schedule with milestones.
Able to perform engineering trade studies to make proper technical, cost, schedule decisions.Previous experience with the design of electronic hardware (either Software, Firmware, RF hardware, Digital hardware) Expert knowledge in the use of RF and digital test equipment such as vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
Expert troubleshooting/logic skills Experience with requirements traceability tools such as JAMA or DOORS Experience with Issue Tracking tools such as JIRA Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence Additional Preferred Qualifications:Matlab programming for basic analysis and DSP modeling Python programming for basic analysis, equipment/test automation, and system control scripts
