    The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for all aspects of purchasing, production planning and scheduling, inventory, shipping and receiving for the purpose of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand, and measuring performance.

    Compensation: Exempt. Incentive Eligible position

    Travel: 20%

    Location: Newbury, OH

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Directs the planning process for procurement, production, inventory control, logistics and distribution to ensure an integrated system of workflow.

    2. Develops and manages the supply chain base ensuring a high level of service and quality. Evaluates existing suppliers and locates and vets new suppliers.

    3. Oversees the negotiation and contracting process for the purchase of materials, equipment, supplies and services.

    4. Facilitates excellence regarding on-time delivery, lead times, inventory days on hand and total cost through the development and continuous improvement of effective inventory control and shipping processes.

    5. Mentors and assists procurement team in developing purchasing/planning skills and vendor management knowledge/perspectives.

    6. Facilitates cross-functional collaboration to achieve outcomes in support of supply chain management strategic goals and initiatives.

    7. Develops, implements and measures key performance targets to drive business performance.

    8. Integrates supply chain best practices and continuous improvement processes to support growth and continuing changes in the business.

    9. Creates and implements standardized materials management processes to address surplus, distressed, aged, and excess stock.

    10. Coordinates new product introduction in supply chain by setting desired business system planning/demand parameters and initial stocking quantities.

    11. Leads the development, testing and deployment of the proper physical packaging for all products with the assistance from outside packaging suppliers.

    Education & Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain required, APICS Certification preferred.


    • 8 or more years of experience in a supply chain management role in a manufacturing environment.


    • Knowledge and experience with logistics planning and execution for multiple distribution channels, including big box retail stores.


    • Thorough understanding of supply chain management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.


    • Knowledge of total management practices and commodities strategies for material and service purchases.


    • Tariff and freight expense expertise and tracking for cost control.


    • Strong experience and knowledge of MRP/ERP concepts.


    • Experience and skill managing people and building teams.


    • Sound knowledge and experience in successfully deploying purchasing strategies and driving cost efficiencies.


    • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, operations, and Supply Chain Management personnel.


    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills when interacting with vendors, customers and internal management and staff.


    • Proven leadership with Inventory Planning, Purchasing, Demand Planning or Inventory Control.


    • Time management skills, organizing and planning abilities and the ability to prioritize responsibilities based on changing business needs.


    • Demonstrated project management skills.


    • Ability to analyze, identify and implement opportunities and corporate initiatives for improvement that have measurable dollar impact.


    • Strong leadership skills to manage direct reports and successfully implement change.


    • Strong Excel and analytical skills.


    • Ability to work in a team environment.

    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing and reaching


    • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and maneuvering up to 100 pounds with a dolly
