Transfer Center Specialist - West Orange

Job summary
The Transfer Center Specialist will enter Epic referrals into About, preadmit & send insurance verification to Patient Access,confirm all necessary components of referral are present and complete,
document clear follow up for clinicians,
answer phones at time of patient acceptance – confirms appropriate bed requests are placed,
coordinates transport with PTC or otherwise appropriate entity,
& ensures patient's timely arrival to inpatient unit.
Knowledge and necessary skills will be utilized to effectively meet the needs of transfer process.
Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public.
