Position Summary:
This role in the Nursing Service Department focuses on delivering patient care, ensuring a seamless transition from student nurse to professional Registered Nurse (RN). The ideal candidate should demonstrate clinical proficiency to serve as the Primary RN in their assigned unit. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, documentation, engaging in patient/family education, and discharge planning, all while effectively utilizing the Nursing Process.
Reports to: Med Surg/Tele Director
FLSA: Non-exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum EducationX Associate's degree Required within 90 days of hire.

Requires critical thinking ability, sound judgment, and the capacity to work independently. Must thrive in a dynamic environment and take decisive actions.

BLS Required Within 30 days (If ACLS is current, BLS is not required).

Licenses:
Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License required within 120 days of hire.
ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
Competencies:
EKG Course and NIHSS Stroke within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
