    Senior Buyer Key Responsibilities:

    • Devise and execute sourcing strategies ensuring consistent and cost-effective raw material supply.
    • Identify potential suppliers, conduct evaluations, and negotiate contracts and pricing.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp raw material requirements and forecast demand accurately.
    • Monitor market trends, industry advancements, and supplier performance to optimize sourcing decisions.
    • Maintain precise records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
    • Address supplier issues including quality concerns, delivery delays, and price discrepancies.
    • Spearhead cost-saving initiatives and pinpoint process improvement opportunities within procurement.
    • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and compliance standards pertinent to raw material sourcing.

    Senior Buyer Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience as a raw material buyer or procurement specialist in a corporate environment- working with metals
    • Proficiency in negotiation and influencing skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
    • Strong analytical and problem- solving capabilities.
    • Skilled in supplier management and contract negotiation.
    • Familiarity with procurement software and systems such as ERP and eSourcing platforms.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
    • Knowledgeable about industry regulations and compliance standards pertaining to raw material sourcing.
