JOB TITLE: OEH Construction Equipment Operator

ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: OEH Sanitation Facilities

SUPERVISOR: Assistant Director

Construction Forman

FLSA: Hourly

Pay Range: $18.00-$25.00 per hour.

** ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: Your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, $140.00 Employee plus family. **

JOB SUMMARY: Operating several different types of heavy equipment, installing various types of Sanitation Facilities and general construction as instructed by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Ability to effectively communicate with others both orally and written.

· Operate heavy equipment as required, i.e., Case backhoe, trencher, skid steer.

and mini excavator.

· Oversee the installation or repair of water and sewer lines.

· Install all types of sewer disposal systems.

· Install water pumps and pressure systems for private water wells.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

· Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSDIERATION:

· Minimum of three (3) years experience in construction and Heavy Equipment Operation

· Possess a valid Oklahoma CDL License

· Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

· Ability to perform general maintenance work.

· Knowledge of hand and power tools and their proper operation.

· Familiarity with the Call Okie System and its use in Oklahoma.

· (Not required) Possess a current Class A Sewer Installation License issued by the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality.

· (Not required) Possess a Water Pump Installation License issued by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position may include any or all of the following. Must have strength to pull, lift and/or push 50 pounds on a frequent basis, and up to 100 pounds (such as a bag of cement) on an infrequent basis. Flexibility to bend, twist and reach. Mobility to climb, crawl and walk. Dexterity to operate machinery and tools on uneven surfaces. Stamina to exert self throughout

the day in all weather conditions. Exposed to hazards associated with operating heavy equipment and machinery.

WORKING CONDITIONS : Much of the work is performed in inclement weather and during all seasons. Some work is performed in confined areas, on slick and wet surfaces. Employees are exposed to vibrations, loud continuous noise, offensive smells, dust, dirt and water. Exposed to injury from moving equipment, insect bites, poisonous plants, flying objects, slippery surfaces, and hazardous materials.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Possess the ability to recognize and maintain a safe work environment for the operator and the labors in his charge at all times
