- Serve as a Cybersecurity Specialist in accordance with the Army Regulation (AR) 25-2,Information Management Army Cybersecurity and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Acquire and manage the necessary resources to support information technology (IT) security goals and objectives and reduce overall organizational risk.
- Advise senior management on risk levels and security posture.
- Collect and maintain data needed to meet system cybersecurity reporting.
- Communicate the value of information technology (IT) security throughout all levels of the organization stakeholders.
- Evaluates and approve development efforts to ensure that baseline security safeguards are appropriately installed.
- Participate in the development or modification of the computer environment cybersecurity program plans and requirements.
- Develop and apply IA and cybersecurity requirements for adequacy and effectiveness of security measures, continuity of operations, and protection of systems and system content.
- Provides updates and reports to management, as needed, for cybersecurity concerns on assigned systems
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.

- This position requires Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III certification or the incumbent must be able to obtain certification within six (6) months of appointment in accordance with DoDD 8140.
