    Under general supervision of a registered nurse in the assigned department, the Senior Vocational Nurse PD performs on a regular basis the full range of patient care activities in support of patient care.

    This includes, but not limited to, prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, assisting with training and validation of competencies of LVN and other patient care support as required, assigned to more complex tasks, and providing patient education and staff training.

    Position requires initiative, ability to prioritize critical demands, ability to work in a team environment and ability to exercise independent judgment.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.
    This job requires the LVN to work closely with the Clinical Trials RN several times a week.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - issued by the state of California.

    Certification in Intravenous Therapy issued by the state of California (LVN IV).

    BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

    Two (2+) years or more of experience as a vocational nurse in a similar role and setting.

    Demonstrated LVN experience in direct patient care.

    Knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.

    Ability to take initiative, prioritize critical demands, exercise independent judgement and work in a team environment.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Infusion experience.

    Outpatient experience.

    Clinical research experience.

    Central line management, IV access, and blood products experience.


    SPECIAL CONDITIONS
    Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

    Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

    Must be able to float to all other Infusion Clinics if needed.

    Pay Transparency Act

    Annual Full Pay Range:
    $80,200 - $80,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

    Hourly Equivalent:
    $ $38.41
