    JOB SUMMARY

    The Technologist Assistant performs a variety of clerical and back office duties while maintaining a high level ofcustomer service and quality patient care.


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists Vascular Sonographer with Vein Mappings and other ultrasound procedures. Rooms patients as necessary.
    • Stocks and cleans the patient changing rooms and waiting areas, including restocking and folding clean gowns andremoving the used gowns.
    • Efficiently and accurately checks in patients including scanning in all required documents that have been completedby the patient and or referring physician's office. Properly scans ID and insurance cards along with prescriptions andall other forms as requested.
    • Collects payments from patients as needed. Prints transaction reports and verifies all payments. Forwards transaction report along with cash, checks, and any receipts via a locked bank bag to the Accounting department daily.
    • Assists Medical Receptionist staff with counting the cash box at the opening and closing of the business day.
    • Other related duties as assigned.
    • Customer Service.
    WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    High school diploma or GED.

    Medical Assistant License or Certification is a plus.

    SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and patients, and the ability to work independently.

    This job requires prolonged sitting or standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching; Must be able to see with or without corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly, with or without assistance.

    This position may require lifting 50 plus pounds.
