    Position Title:
    Office Receptionist/Front Desk

    • Answer incoming telephone calls.
    • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
    • Reschedule patient appointments as requested by the Physicians, Supervisor or Manager.
    • Register patient demographic information in practice management program.
    • Greet and attend to patients at front desk.
    • Prepare clinic a day before, reviewing patient information, referrals in place, patient balances.
    • Intake patients and collect copayments and patient's balances.
    • Discharge patients after appointment with physician or clinical staff
    • Scanning all front desk patient information into the Patient's documents/electronic chart.
    • Schedule procedures as outlined in procedural manager or advised by Supervisor
    • Send electronic message (voice/text message) for "NO Showed" patients.
    • Revision of messages from Answering services.
    • Prepare "close of day" on all payments received reconciling Cash, credit card, checks received.
    • Request and obtain required authorizations and/or referrals, or assure authorizations and/or referrals are on file prior to patient appointment, including authorizations for ancillary services.
    • Distribution of electronic faxes received.
