    Description

    **Position Summary**

    The Cancer Registry of Greater Californias mission is to capture timely, high quality data from all cancer patients diagnosed in 48 of Californias 58 counties, and to utilize this information for cancer research to improve health outcomes and reduce cancer morbidity and mortality.

    **Duties/Responsibilities**

    Provides local and remote IT and desktop support by troubleshooting, diagnosing, installing, and configuring a variety of hardware and software.

    Responsible for configuring and supporting computer hardware and software applications.

    Help with Office 365 user account setup, support, and maintenance.

    Provides timely responses to IT requests from local and remote staff via phone, Teams chat, email or online meeting.

    Appropriately escalates issues to the IT Manager and other IT staff, as necessary.

    Installs and configures new systems as directed by the IT Manager.

    Assists and/or trains users with MS Office applications and Office 365 environment.

    Exhibits a high level of professionalism in providing excellent customer service and exercising sound judgment to provide timely resolution of problems.

    Maintains in depth knowledge of all desktop systems and technologies in use.

    Provides information to staff on the capabilities and limitations of available software systems.

    Performs other IT and related duties as needed.

    **Qualifications**

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    **Minimum Qualifications**

    1 year experience in desktop, applications, phones, and systems support, including:

    Experience in providing customers with advanced troubleshooting and support in Windows 10 and Office 365

    Availability to work as needed and flexibility with work schedule so as to provide optimum Help Desk coverage is required

    Ability to work occasional early mornings, nights and weekends

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    High School diploma required

    **Preferred Qualifications**

    Strong troubleshooting skills in remote connectivity issues

    Requires a good understanding of Microsoft windows desktop

    Strong experience in Windows deployment is highly desired

    Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization

    Self-starter; organized; ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks.

    Experience supporting multi-site environment preferred

    Good team and collaborative skills

    Associate degree in computer science or equivalent preferred.

    Any of the following IT certifications are desirable for this position: Microsoft MCP, Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft MCTS, MCITP Desktop, MCITP and other IT certifications
