Job summary
The patient care technician assists patients with obtaining and recording vital signs weights and heights assisting patients with mobility ambulation transfer accommodations as needed performing EKGs phlebotomy blood glucose monitoring if needed taking patient histories preparing examination rooms helping with minor medical procedures like wound care vaccinations and blood draws if needed observing and reporting changes in patients condition to the RN maintaining phlebotomy equipment inventory supplies preparation organization efficiently utilizing them.
