This position provides direct administrative support to the Vice President of Customer Services and supports managerial staff in all sections.
Special Knowledge & Skills: 1. Effectively communicates with tact and works effectively with all levels within the Company. 2. Writes legibly, accurately operates a calculator, and possesses a good knowledge of filing practices and general office procedures. 3. Possesses a good knowledge of English grammar (including spelling, punctuation, and sentence structuring skills) and is able to exercise its accurate use when composing correspondence, reports, notices, bulletins, minutes, and other written memoranda. 4. Accurately types at a minimum of 45 words per minute.Education, Training & Experience: 1. High school diploma or GED and at least four (4) years of progressive experience in a business office environment of which two (2) years is at an administrative assistant level or equivalent. 2. Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or business school diploma/certificate desired. 3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with email and calendaring software. 4. Knowledge of OTS programs such as TOPPS, REQ, RFS, etc., desired. 5. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, HTML, Flash, and content management software desired. 6. Experience in copywriting and editing. Experience in web content production and media relations desired.
Other Job Requirements & Conditions: 1. Have a thorough knowledge of Company processes and procedures in order to ensure the efficient flow of information between Customer Services and other departments within the company desired. 2. Works extended hours, weekends and holidays when required. 3. Must pass company-sponsored drug test. 4. Satisfactory work record and no discipline in the past three (3) years. 5. Performs other duties as assigned.
