    JOB OVERVIEW
    Remote-based scientific and medical expert responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate scientific and medical interactions with internal cross-functional partners, external advisors, organizations, institutions, and associated personnel. Acts as the non-promotional scientific bridge between the company and the relevant healthcare community throughout the lifecycle of the covered opioid antidote portfolio. Offers high-quality scientific expertise related to our medicines and therapeutic interests to support patients. Participates in data generation, education, and scientific insights-gathering activities guided by Medical Affairs leadership. Collaborates with cross-functional teams for Medical, Commercial, and Government Affairs to support Opioid Antagonists. Engages with Key Opinion Leaders identified to support external engagement aligned with the overall strategy.



    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Engage with thought leaders, professional groups, organizations, decision-makers, and key stakeholders in the assigned therapeutic area
    • Support Policy needs with a cross-functional team aligned with key stakeholders
    • Collaborate with Senior Leadership on Strategy and LCM opportunities
    • Participate in scientific exchange with identified key stakeholders as needed
    • Share and discuss evidence-based scientific data with internal stakeholders to support the landscape of OA
    • Conduct education on disease state, product, and competitor products to internal stakeholders and external customers as appropriate
    • Identify requirements to facilitate company-sponsored research initiatives guided by Medical Affairs leadership
    • Lead departmental projects as directed by Medical Affairs leadership
    • Represent Medical Affairs at scientific meetings and conventions as instructed by Medical Affairs leadership
    • Contribute to the creation of scientific materials for both internal and external teams
    • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members

    MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
    • MD and/or PhD (or equivalent education) in a relevant clinical/scientific discipline
    • 5-10 years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
    • Experience in a clinical or scientific role within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical research industries
    • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry compliance
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
    • Self-motivated team player
    • Ability to effectively present scientific information to varied audiences
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and exercises good judgment in decision-making

    Preferred:
    • Expertise in neurosciences within the therapeutic area, specifically opioid overdose, pain, addiction, or harm reduction, along with an understanding of the policy landscape in this field
