DIRECTOR OF STUDIO PROGRAMS

Location: Syracuse, New York

Reports To: District Executive Director, Arts Branch

Work Location: Arts & Education Branch, Syracuse, NY

FLSA: Exempt - Full time

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday - 5 days with some evenings and weekends

Salary Range: $58,500.00

Position Summary:

The Director of Studio Programs oversees development, administration, and evaluation of operations under the Arts and Education branch.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, program development, staff and volunteer management, fiscal oversight, fundraising, community relations, and collaboration with agencies.

Ensures participant well-being in line with YMCA guidelines and policies.

Essential Functions:

Maintains YMCA core values
Develops positive relationships within the organization and community
Ensures safety procedures are known and followed
Develops and implements Arts programs
Manages budgets

Experience, Education, and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Arts-related field or equivalent experience

Three years of arts program management experience

Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to make independent decisions and manage complex situations

Trainings & Certifications:

Annual safety, sexual harassment, and child abuse prevention trainings required

CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:

Recreational/educational setting exposed to varying conditions

Standard office equipment used with moderate to high noise levels
