    Title - Data Center Technician

    Location - Quincy, WA

    Duration - 6+Months Contract(Go longer as per business needs )

    Zip code Onsite) Day shift

    7.00 Am to 6.30 Pm (1hr lunch break and 1/2-hour afternoon break)

    40 hours in a week

    The hourly rate for this position is between $23-26 Per hour on W2

    About the Role:

    Our Team is currently seeking a strong Data Center Technician to support both company-specific servers as well as data center buildouts at customer data center's. The ideal candidate balances strong technical hardware, and verbal/written communication skills, who are also are highly analytical with superior attention-to-detail, self-motivated, and a positive, humble 'results driven' attitude.

    Tech will be both internal and external facing with the ability to lead and drive initiatives as assigned to a conclusion.

    What you'll do:

    Ideally, a candidate will be adept in both hardware troubleshooting and communication skills. However, a candidate strong in one field will be considered if the individual has the aptitude and skills to become an expert in multiple areas.

    Hardware Troubleshooting Related Skills

    • Great server hardware knowledge with a deep understanding of all component & system type failures.
    • Assist in conducting on-field issues until the root cause is determined based on:
    • Controlled testing of suspect hardware, system, or firmware
    • Engagement of internal engineering departments and the customer
    • Proactively and reactively support field deployments globally by:
    • Learning new products in the production or lab environment
    • New Product Introduction training for site leads and technicians in the field.
    • Assist in tracking server fleet health to investigate trends, new unknown issues, and validate that maintaining customer SLA.
    • Utilize Linux and Windows Command-Line to troubleshoot hardware.
    • Cable management (labelling, dressing, and unintrusive)
    • Communication, Foundational Skills, and Competencies
    • Daily status updates
    • Define, develop, and implement external and internal customer initiatives.
    • Proactively support field sustaining activities by
    • Developing SOPs, Knowledge articles, & guides
    • Conduct training on new issues/resolutions, new technical processes & new tools.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in the investigation of issues, RCA/FA documents, etc. is critical to this role. It is essential to both the customer.
    • Provide timely, detailed, precise, and accurate feedback to the Engineering teams on failures, serviceability of servers, and integration with the data canter.
    • Pre- and post-work follow-up for projects.

    What You'll Bring:

    Minimum expectations:

    • 3+ years of experience
    • CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience
    • CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience
    • Ability to independently and regularly lift items weighing up to 50lbs or in partnership for items over 50lbs in weight.
    • Ability to work autonomously and within a local or geographically dispersed team environment.

    Preferred:

    • 5+ years' experience
    • Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information technology or equivalent experience
    • MCP/MSCE certification
    • Power shell
