    What you'll do

    The primary purpose of the Resident Aide is to assist the Nursing staff in performing non-technical assigned tasks.


    • Assist in resident transports throughout the facility and to and from medical appointments as assigned.
    • Assist in passing fluids and nourishment to residents after completing appropriate in-servicing under guidance of the LPN/Charge Nurse.
    • Assist the nursing staff in performing tasks as assigned such as bed-making for empty beds only, straightening linens, cleaning closets and bedside tables, answer call lights and resident's alarms.
    • Attend facility offered feeding assistant course as scheduled (expected competency to assist feeding residents as assigned).
    • All other non-technical duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Care Coordinator.
    • Attend all required in-services and follow all department and facility policies and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment.
    • Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all resident care and employee information and follow HIPAA and HIV regulations.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Light work: exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
    • Occasional: balancing, crouching, typing/clerical/dexterity, kneeling, lifting, pulling, stooping, seeing/monitor/computer use, fit testing
    • Frequent: grasping, hearing, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, talking, walking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception)

    Hazards:

    • Occasional: bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure.

    Working Conditions:

    • Occasional: noise and odors

    Travel:

    • Occasional: travel - the job may require travel from time-to-time, but not on a regular basis

    Pay Range


    Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.

    USD $15.00/Hr.
