- Completion of one of the following:
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonographer program.
- Five years experience in cardiac ultrasound.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registration or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). New graduates must be registered with ARDMS within two years of graduation; all other personnel must be registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's license.
- Two years of experience in cardiac ultrasound.
- Six months of experience working with echo contrast.
- Six months of experience performing stress echocardiography and pharmacological stress echocardiography.
- Six months of experience performing electrocardiograms.

Summary
Performs 2-D, M-Mode, color, and spectral recordings of the heart documenting hemodynamic function by way of transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. Incorporates 2-D imaging to compliment stress testing by either treadmill or pharmacology to demonstrate left ventricular response to controlled stress for use by physicians in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
