    About the Position

    ITS has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager with a focus on small and medium-sized market (SMB) and drive ITS Logistics SMB .

    In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and new business development. We are seeking an individual who can lead our sales process from prospecting to closing.

    To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record of success in sales, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to think strategically.

    You should also possess a thorough understanding of the sales process and be comfortable working independently with minimal direction. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain Solutions.

    We are looking for a solid player with succession capabilities beyond this role; one with the capacity to engage teams and build followership.

    Principle Accountabilities
    Identify SMB sectors / opportunities and develop strategies to establish new business opportunities – ITS Logistics SMB (dray, fulfillment, and final mile)
    Generate new sales leads and prospects through effective market research and networking
    Identify customer needs in SMB market and develop tailored solutions to meet those requirements
    Identify potential clients and develop strategies to establish new business opportunities within the 3PL logistics and fulfillment sector
    Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing
    Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers
    Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
    Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to management
    Continuously review and update sales strategies to maximize revenue
    Develop and implement effective sales campaigns
    Stay up to date on industry trends and market changes
    Provide ongoing account management to existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for future growth
    Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and objectives
    Understand and promote the company values and mission statement and achieve "Excellence in Everything We Do"
    About the Requirements

    The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated record of accomplishment in a warehousing / logistics culture with a focus on safety, reliability, and process improvement.

    Food safety experience is highly desirable.

    Additional requirements include:
    Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business or a related degree preferred, but not required
    3+ years of experience within business development for logistics services
    Excellent leadership and strong interpersonal skills. A proven coach and motivator, with a strong customer service orientation for both the internal and external customer.
    Experience in negotiating multi-million-dollar agreements and contracts
    A make-it-happen person, who is flexible, adaptable and possesses a high sense of urgency
    Gets the job done right and on time, despite obstacles
    Excellent analytical, problems solving, and communication skills (oral and written)
    Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
