Job Description

Install, maintain and repair production equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure continuous operations. Work rotating shifts with other technicians and operators at the Plaster City plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work safely by adhering to plant safety policies and objectives.
• Complete on time safety training (Classroom, Hands-On, OTIS).
• Support company policies and departmental instructions in a positive manner.
• Perform maintenance work orders efficiently and within time frames.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians and operators to execute daily work orders.
• Foster overall responsibility by following best practices.
• Communicate value-added opportunities to improve safety and equipment performance.
• Sustain operations and maintenance for improved equipment reliability.
• Lead groups of operators during routine and non-routine maintenance tasks.
• Assist in implementing predictive maintenance programs.
• Participate in training classes/seminars provided by USG or 3rd party companies.
• Maintain active communication with Electrical Supervisor about shift performance and other issues.
• Submit work orders using e-Factory Pro software.

Requirements:

• Industrial Electrical Technician certification is preferred.
• Industrial electrical experience of 3-5 years is preferred.
• Solid general knowledge of all aspects of electrical work, including running conduit and making up panels.
• Electrical skills to install, repair and troubleshoot equipment such as three-phase AC motors and DC Motors.
• Considerable knowledge of electrical motor control circuits and process control instrumentation.
• Proficient with PLC & Instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Experience with preventive & predictive maintenance tasks.
• Able to read electrical schematics/blueprints.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
