is seeking a qualified Senior Network Installation Technician to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team
The selected candidate will support an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies
You will support information technology discovery, optimization, and transformation into a centralized, operational enterprise

Responsibilities:

• Managing installations and repairs for network systems
• OCONUS and CONUS travel for DOD to perform site surveys of computer networks and cable plant.
• Responding to maintenance requests regarding system defects and other issues, troubleshooting problems with network systems by running tests and maintaining inventory for network hardware.
• Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations
• Scheduling upgrades and maintenance without interrupting business workflow
• Designs, builds, and implements network systems
• Directs compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance
• Troubleshoots network performance issues
• Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions
• Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems
• Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance
• Manages the purchase, testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems
• Create maintenance tickets
• Understand, implement, and follow processes in accordance with current policies and procedures.
• Install and maintain network devices at the site.
• Performing necessary upgrades to the network infrastructure as needed.
• Mentor/Lead junior team of installation technicians, as needed

Qualifications:

• TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN)
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies.
• Hands-on experience with common software and hardware
