    Responsibilities Hickory Trail Hospital , an 86-bed behavioral health facility located just south of Dallas, has been providing quality health care to the residents of DFW since 1988.

    Hickory Trail Hospital provides inpatient and day treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults.

    Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each client's case and their family's needs.

    Because crisis occurs at all times of the day and night, our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    Visit us online at Nurse Manger is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.

    This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision of House Supervisors, RN's and MHTs.

    This position will monitor staffing needs on assigned shifts.

    This position is responsible for assisting the DON/ADON in evaluating, reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all RN//MHT staff required training.

    Also provides, on as-needed basis, patient nursing assessments. Participates in Treatment Team meetings as needed.

    Qualifications Education : Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required


    Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience:
    A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a psychiatric health-care facility required . Experience in staff education and education concepts, practices, procedures, and 24-hour shift staffing experience.


    Licensure:
    Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of

    Nursing Additional Requirements:
    Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
