Concrete Laborer

Location: Kansas City, KS

Pay: $19/hr ($1,000 hiring bonus paid as $500 after 30 days and 60 days)

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• 6am-4pm

Responsibilities

• Reading tape measures and using power tools.
• Pouring concrete, setting up forms and shaping concrete
• Setting inserts
• Cleaning up
• Takes the initiative to remain involved in productive work throughout the workday
• Comes to work regularly and on time, in accordance with company policy
• Demonstrates loyalty to the company and mutual respect for other personnel
• Functions as a team player, and looks for ways to improve the way work is done
• Adheres to plant safety policies in accordance with the Company Safety Manual and through the direction of the Safety Coordinator
• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, talk and hear
• The employee will be on his/her feet a majority of the day

Qualifications

• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
• Ability to consistently produce a quality product
• Ability to learn new skills based upon customer requirements
• Ability to calculate area and volume
• Ability to apply basic concepts of geometry
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Manual lifting requirements are to moderate to heavy at times, but with the assistance of other personnel and hoisting equipment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• The noise level is generally loud on the production floor or in the yard
• Post-Offer, Pre-Employment drug screen and background check required.
