Job Description: ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated School Behavior Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Halifax, NC. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioral challenges to thrive in their academic environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to implement effective behavior intervention strategies and foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the school psychologist or behavior analyst
• Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioral challenges in various educational settings
• Assist in the collection and analysis of data to monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and reinforce strategies for behavior management
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of behavior analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral challenges preferred
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to undergo training and certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) if not already certified
