Brief Job Summary
The County Assessor is responsible for estimating the market value and determining the classification of each parcel of property in Fillmore County. The position requires developing and maintaining valuation guides, establishing schedules for property appraisals,and overseeing value and assessment of all real, personal and exempt property for valuation.
Responsibilities
- Generates complex valuation trend reports, appraisal reports and manages the exchange data to promote uniform assessment across counties.
- Determines annual department budget and appropriations.
