    A busy and friendly dermatology practice is looking for an enthusiastic Call Center Representative

    Classification: Hourly
    Pay Range: Starting at $ 18.00 based on experience and proficiency
    Department: Call Center
    Reports to: Call Center Supervisor
    Call Center Essential Job Duties:
  • Taking calls in a multi-line phone system.
  • Managing high volume schedules for numerous providers.
  • Scheduling appointments and procedures for multiple providers and location.
  • Effectively dispatching calls to the appropriate personal.
  • Taking accurate messages with all necessary information and sending them to appropriate personal.
  • Verifying and updating patient information.
  • Verifying Referrals and Authorizations.
  • Processing and distributing faxes.
  • Tracking cosmetic packages.
  • Processing and logging payments for copays and cosmetic procedures/product.
  • Scanning and attaching documents.
  • Data Entry.
  • Various administrative tasks as required.
  • Competency
  • Answer phones.
  • Schedule, confirm, cancel and or reschedule appointments.
  • Resolve patient questions, and direct patients to the proper resources for further assistance with their questions or concerns.
  • Verifying and updating patient information including demographics and insurance.
  • Verifying Referrals and Authorizations for services.
  • EMR knowledge.
  • Data entry.
  • Know how to operate computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
  • Proficient with written, communication and basic math skills.
  • Compliant with HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements/Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be proficient with verbal and written communication.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent Multi-tasking skills and flexibility.
  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), HIPAA, insurance and referrals preferred.
  • Basic Computer Skills. (Microsoft Word, Excel, 50 to 80 wpm)
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Supervisory Responsibility
    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
    Work Environment
    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
    Physical Demands
    This is largely a sedentary role; however, some scanning is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time 40 hours position. Days and hours of work are between Monday through Friday, 7:15 am – 5:30 PM; Saturday 7:45 am – 12:30 PM
    Travel
    To other office location as required.
