    Job Description

    Real Estate developer with a 50+ year history is adding to their team. This is an excellent growth opportunity for someone to gain the whole realm Financial and Operational knowledge of how a successful real estate company is run. Our client is seeking a CPA, ideally with some industry experience, to work closely with the Director of Finance and CFO on quarterly consolidations, budgets, cash flows, and reporting on investments. No prior management experience is required. Please apply here to be considered

    Base salary $120-135k range + 15% bonus & excellent work/life balance

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare journal entries, accruals, GL closing, balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly consolidations in accordance with GAAP.
    • Review financial packages from operations teams.
    • Actively participate in monthly project meetings with operations.
    • Prepare various reports for management and investors.
    • Participate in the preparation of budgets and cash flows by working with the operations team.
    • Coordinate with external auditors during the year end audit process and prepare/provide necessary reports when requested.
    • Coordinate with external tax reporting firm during the year end process, prepare/provide necessary reports, and review tax returns.
    • Research and support significant accounting and financial reporting matters impacting the business
    • Prepare other ad-hoc projects.

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
    • CPA is required
    • 5-10 years of accounting experience, ideally in the real estate industry.
    • Experience at a public accounting firm is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills
