    DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The St. Charles Health System's Information Technology (IT) Team provides design, development, security, and support to a broad spectrum of computer hardware and software components, all working together for the benefit of departments throughout St. Charles. We partner with our customers to best leverage various technologies to achieve the best patient outcomes possible by implementing new hardware and software solutions, upgrading existing environments, protecting the data we store, and integrating solutions to achieve a seamless experience.

    POSITION OVERVIEW: The Director of Business Platforms, Data and AI Technology, leads transformative initiatives across our organization's technology landscape. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Transformation, this position is responsible for overseeing reporting and analytics platforms, AI integration, and all technology business platforms such as Workday, ServiceNow, OnBase, and others. This position directly manages caregivers.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

    Strategic Leadership:

    • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for technology business transformation initiatives, aligning them with the organization's overall goals and mission.
    Platform Management:
    • Oversee all technology Business platforms, including Workday, ServiceNow, OnBase, and others, to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
    Reporting and Analytics:
    • Lead the development and implementation of reporting and analytics solutions to provide actionable insights for decision-making and performance improvement.
    AI Integration:
    • Drive the integration of artificial intelligence technologies to automate processes, improve patient outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency.
    Technology Business Process Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, leveraging technology to drive business efficiency and effectiveness.
    Change Management:
    • Implement effective change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes across the organization.
    Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure quality delivery of services and solutions.
    Budget Management:
    • Collaborate with leadership to develop and manage the technology budget, optimizing resource allocation while ensuring financial sustainability.
    Team Leadership and Development:
    • Recruit, hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    Compliance:
    • Monitor and ensure all direct reports are current with compliance and safety requirements. Implement and manage all organizational safety directives and goals.
    Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with teams to review processes and identify/implement opportunities for improvements, applying Lean principles, concepts, and tools.
    Supports the vision, mission, and values of the organization in all respects.

    Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests.

    Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, supporting the organization's corporate integrity efforts by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violation of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all organizational investigations and proceedings.

    May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned.

    EDUCATION:

    Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Business Administration, or related field.

    Preferred: Master's degree in related field.

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

    Required: Certification in related discipline within Information Technology.

    Preferred: N/A

    EXPERIENCE:

    Required: Minimum seven (7) years related experience overseeing technology systems, reporting and analytics platforms, and AI Integration. Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience.

    Preferred: Seven (7) or more years of related experience in the healthcare industry.

    PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

    Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.
