- Manage employee development process including assisting with identification of future leaders, coaching and mentoring programs as appropriate, and facilitation of formal programs and job rotational assignments, with emphasis on Supervisory skills development.
- Evaluate recurrence or trends across market region and implement actions to mitigate in the future through appropriate training, coaching and discipline as required.

- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Support management on all employee matters including change management initiatives, the recruiting and hiring process, coaching and development, disciplinary action, compensation matters, management of turnover, implementation and delivery of training programs; May assume a technical leadership position over a functional area, serving as a resource and expert to others within and outside the HR department for the market center in the areas of : Labor Relations, Compensation, Training & Development or Candidate Sourcing / Employment.
- Assist with state requirements regarding payroll to ensure accurate and timely submitted data; manage DOL inquiries and mitigate unfavorable settlements through the implementation of corrective measures.
- Assumes a technical leadership position for functional areas, serving as a resource and expert to others within and outside the HR department for the midwest region, supporting in the areas of: Labor Relations, Compensation, Training & Development or Candidate Sourcing / Employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred but not required
- Seven (7) years' experience in a Human Resources Generalist function
- Three (3) years' of supervisory experience
- One (1) to Three (3) years of experience with Union/Labor relations preferred but not required
- Travel 20-25%
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 2007 to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to influence and persuade senior management level.
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Articulate communicator and ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data to a wide range of audiences.
- High standard of attention to detail.
