    Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP)

    The Speech & Language Pathologist plans and delivers speech/language therapy to a caseload of individuals for Therapy Relief at Hope. Speech consultation services and speech therapies will focus on communicative independence. May require some travel to homes, schools, and other contracted locations.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Assess individuals' communication skills and implement speech and language treatment based on established goals, in individual, group, or classroom settings.
    • Serve, communicate, and consult as a member of an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment goals in accordance with students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as necessary.
    • Maintain detailed records and compile written progress reports and treatment plans as needed.
    • Evaluate need and type of augmentative communication devices and provide guidance and training to parents/guardians, teachers, and/or caretakers on the use of needed devices.
    • Participate in ongoing treatment meetings, as well as staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING

    • Master's degree from approved school of hearing and speech-language pathology.
    • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible.
    • Proficiency in the use of personal computers and software applications.
