    Summary

    Controls and monitors the customer contact aspect and event services of the Pantages Theater, Rialto Theater and Theater on the Square through monitoring and managing front of house services on days of events.

    Supervises volunteer ushers, ticket takers, and greeters, and coordinates with contracted security personnel during events.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Supervises day-of-event services staff.
    Maintains the proper image and generates positive public relations with patrons and staff.
    Responsible for getting patrons into and out of the venues safely.
    Addresses complaints and concerns from patrons and solves problems in a timely manner.
    Provide clear, concise, and timely communication of directives to other departments.
    Implement facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
    Works with internal service partners to provide quality service to customers as needed.
    Works with clients of all three venues to ensure highest level of customer service for all external service providers.
    Complies with standard operating procedures for the Event Services Department and monitors volunteers for their compliance.

    Supervisory Responsibilities
    Supervises day-of-event services staff.

    Qualifications

    Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
    Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
    Supervisory experience preferred
    Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic.
    Strong computer skills with ability to learn and master new applications.
    Ability to adjust work schedule to coincide with events.

    Education and/or Experience
    2-4 years Event Management experience in theater, convention center, or related venue preferred.
    1-3 years supervisory experience preferred.

    Working Environment/Conditions
    Office environment
    Theater environment
    This position is not substantially exposed to adverse conditions.

    Hours of Work
    As needed for staffing of events, mostly evenings and weekends.

    Write using pen/pencil or personal computer keyboard for up to 30 minutes at a time.
    Ability to communicate verbally required.

    Hourly Rate:
    $20 per hour

    Overtime Rate paid after 40 hours weekly

    Sick leave paid in accordance with Washington state law
