    Pain Technician-Medical Assistant Responsibilities...
    Under the supervision of the nurse manager and in conjunction with the licensed nurse and medical director, the Pain Technician performs selected patient care, medical record, sterilization, and unit activities. The technician's role is to assist as a team member to support the process of care delivery in the clinic. The technician must be supportive of the pain service process. Their interactions with the patient and family/significant other shall be such as to demonstrate respect for them as individuals and sensitivity to their circumstances.
    Duties will include:
    • Assess patients prior to procedure.
    • Gather supplies needed for the procedure and account for supplies consumed.
    • Assist provider as needed.
    • Position and prepare patients on the procedure table
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and/or administer pain & anxiolytic medications as ordered and Adhere to safety standards and precautions

    Requirements/Preferences:
    • Candidate must demonstrate aptitude for sterile technique, and specialized equipment/technology in pain management.
    • Candidate must demonstrate and abide by radiation safety regulations.
    • Individual must be organized, with exceptional skill in planning and preparing for pain procedures.
    • Ability to maintain pace and rhythm of fast-paced pain management service line.
    • Ability to quickly adjust to changes in patient focused events.
    • Solid understanding of patient safety and standard precautions.
    • Candidate must possess general clinical competency in circulating nursing in accordance to practice standards.
