- Develops, implements, evaluates, and revises the Practical Nursing curriculum based on registered nursing curricula, national standards, and according to College policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership to the PN Program Level Curriculum Council to review and approve all curricula and proposed recommendations to change the curriculum.
- Ensures continued compliance with all institutional and programmatic accreditation, federal and state standards, licensures, and approvals at each campus.
- Responsible for assisting campus Program Evaluation Committees to track performance results and to achieve or maintain program accreditations, federal and state standards, licensures, and approvals at the campus level specific to the PN programs.
- Assists the campus PEC committees with clearly stated action plans for improvements/revision, as necessary, and reports these to College Curriculum meetings, as scheduled.
- Attends PN course meetings, as necessary, to ensure course delivery consistency focused on quality initiatives and trending issues in the practice of professional nursing.
- Assists in the creation and delivery of professional development to nursing faculty regarding methods of content delivery and evaluation.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Education: Doctoral Degree from an accredited institution (preferred); Graduate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, required; Documentation as an NLN Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), preferred.
- Unencumbered Licensure: Applicable state requirements as a Registered Nurse.
- Special Qualifications: Five (5) years current experience as a Registered Nurse; two (2) years current teaching experience in a prelicensure baccalaureate nursing education setting; organizational and planning skills, knowledge of the function and operation of multi-campus curricula; effective written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to use and apply personal computing, word processing, spreadsheets, and/or databases to fulfill role responsibilities; able to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people; possesses demonstrated attention to detail and follow-through abilities. - Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: The position requires mental acuity, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating, and decision-making. Physical demands in the classroom, lab, or clinical are minimal, including office work, which is considered sedentary, with only occasional lifting and/or carrying of articles such as records, files, and textbooks (10 pounds maximum). Operation of standard equipment, such as the telephone, computer, classroom/meeting room projector, and printer/scanner, occurs on a frequent basis. Travel may be required.

Job Summary and Qualifications
To provide direction and oversight regarding the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Colleges Practical Nursing education program. Consult with other College departments, such as Academics, Curriculum and Instruction, Arts and Sciences, Teaching & Learning Academy, Regulatory Affairs & Compliance, Institutional Effectiveness, Instructional Design, and Informational Technology (IT) in support of the PN program and continuous assessment processes.
