    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Surgery Trauma Med/Surg night shift position with strong neuro trauma experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

    Responsibilities
    Work on the Surgery Trauma unit of a hospital with high acuity patients
    Patient population includes spinal neuro trauma, surgical cases, gunshot wounds, quadriplegic, and paraplegic patients

    Patient ratio is 5:1

    Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week
    No block scheduling; candidates must be flexible with shift assignments
    Uses Epic EMR system, prior Epic experience required
    No on-call required
    Nursing support techs, phlebotomists available, and unit secretary support at night
    Work collaboratively with a support team including nursing techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretary
    Nurse handoff completed by ED nurse and admitting unit
    No requests for time off (RTO) will be honored for this assignment
    Two references from recent, similar experience required for consideration

    Requirements
    Active GA or Compact RN license required
    Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
    Minimum of 2 years recent experience in medical/surgical surgery trauma nursing
    Prior experience with high acuity neuro trauma patients preferred
    Epic EMR experience required
