- Workflow Planning & Scheduling: Plans and schedules workflow for each workstation according to the manufacturing sequence of operations and controls lead time.
- Material Control: Manages material requirements as per BOMs, manufacturing sequence, assembly, and production workflow.
- Expediting Operations: Expedites operations that delay schedules and adjusts schedules to accommodate unforeseen conditions.
- Reporting: Prepares production reports, productivity reports, cost analysis graphs, and delivery charts to drive process and performance improvements.
- Engineering Drawings & BOMs: Reviews and evaluates engineering drawings, calculates quantities and types of materials, parts, or other items required. Determines "make versus buy," establishes safety stock/reorder points, and validates BOMs in the MRP system.
- Purchase Requisitions: Sets up purchase requisitions for Purchasing personnel based on need dates, lead times, and quantity requirements.
- Intercompany Requirements: Plans and releases intercompany requirements and maintains Distribution Orders to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
- Inventory Management: Manages intercompany transfers, evaluates shortages, and implements prompt solutions while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Documentation & Engineering Changes: Reads and reviews engineering drawings and documentation, coordinating any changes and maintaining inventory levels to meet company goals.
- Support Testing & Certification: Supports testing and certification requirements for new programs.
- Engineering Revision Control: Ensures engineering revision control is preserved.
- Leadership & Mentorship: May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to less experienced staff.
- Issue Management: Performs work under general supervision, handling moderately complex issues, and escalating more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience working in an ERP/MRP environment required.
- 3+ years of production planning and/or material planning experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
