    Description
    gpac is partnered up with a well-respected Asphalt Paving Company that is urgently seeking an Asphalt Paving Foreman to join their team


    The Asphalt Paving Foreman will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of the asphalt crew, and may also engage in the trade work of the employees being supervised.

    This position reports to the Asphalt Paving Superintendent.

    Plan out each day and communicate to the crew members what activities are to be accomplished.

    • Supervise crews to obtain top-quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, commitment, teamwork, and pride.
    • Review and verify employee time sheets for accuracy before submitting them to the timekeepers/Payroll.
    • Communicate with maintenance staff about maintenance needs on all major pieces of equipment on assigned jobs.
    • Follow asphalt paving procedures and protocols as outlined in orientations and trainings.
    Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in utility construction.

    • Must be able to read, understand, and apply information obtained from blueprints, surveys, and job specifications.
    • Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements
    A minimum of 5 years of related skill, knowledge, and experience in heavy civil operations construction.

    • Asphalt Paving Crew
    Travel and some Saturday work are required.
