Alamo Angels is an industry-agnostic membership-based organization with a diverse network of accredited investors providing funding to early-stage companies. Headquartered in the VelocityTX Innovation Center in San Antonio, TX, Alamo Angels has invested more than $6 million in over 44 active businesses around the United States and Latin America.

Our Venture Fellows are a key component of the internal AA team. Through the course of your fellowship, you will have the opportunity to expand your network by meeting with industry professionals and startup founders, attend pitch events and startup summits, and much more. By the end of your experience, you will have a deeper understanding of the VC and Angel communities, gain insight into internal operations, learn key presentation skills, communication skills, and other technical skills.

The Opportunity: Alamo Angels cannot function without a rock star team executing every last detail this is where you'll come in. You'll work directly with Francisco Garcia on everything related to due diligence, and operations.

The first week with us will not be like syllabus week in college. You'll have the space to get up to speed, meet the team, ask your questions, and make an impact from day one. While on this team, you'll work on conducting due diligence in our investment opportunities (we'll teach you), help run operations for our events. We provide bi-weekly lessons that will help you level up your knowledge (term sheets, startup analysis, writing memos, cold emails, sourcing, etc)

We're looking for an impressively driven intern to make a positive impact on our members and the community. This is a paid job opportunity.

Role Responsibilities:

• Logistics and Event Hosting: Learn all the intricacies that go into running successful events - monthly hybrid pitch events, hybrid educational workshops, socials, etc
• Investment Ops: Help move our investment through our deal process from sourcing to analysis to due diligence.
• Marketing: create and send out weekly emails, create and post on social media, and event photography.
• Special research projects

Who's the right fit:

• This is not a remote job. You must be located in the San Antonio, TX area and able to commute to our offices
• Interested in pursuing a career in startups, venture/angel investing
• Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
• Meticulously detail-oriented
• Has great interpersonal skills, and enjoys building new relationships
