- Our Cincinnati team, composed of 31 people, is integrated in the Special Chemical global business unit and focuses on the production and delivery of quality alumina and Nocolok products in collaboration with our Solvay support teams and executive leadership.
- As a Process Engineer, you will help support the production team and the daily operations at the site through day to day troubleshooting and long term process improvement projects and initiatives. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the strong Special Chemical team and have a positive impact on the alumina and Nocolok business lines.
- You will be accountable for:
- Managing and deploying process and quality improvement projects from concept through implementation.
- Developing and implementing cost optimization projects through construction, start-up and performance demonstration.
- Providing engineering/technical assistance to outside customers, production and maintenance as requested.
- Implementing and utilizing six sigma and lean manufacturing principles.
- Directing and coaching site engineering co-ops and operators on the process.
- Managing the Equipment Efficiency (OEE) database and addressing reoccurring issues causing equipment downtime and performance issues.
- Interacting with construction contractors.
- Completing projects per the site MOC process, corporate change board approval and corporate project guidelines.
- Ensuring that process improvement projects are represented in the plant capital plan
- We offer an onsite, full time position with travel required by the business (<10%).
- Degree in chemical engineering preferred, will consider related degree with chemical engineering experience.
- Relevant work experience in chemical or manufacturing industries.

- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $85,000 to $105,000, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
