    Description

    Thermo Fisher, in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the production support team supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Location: Asheville, NC

    Pay Range: $21.37

    Shift: Second Shift

    What's the Job?

    • Operate and monitor machinery such as Press Brake equipment, CNC punch press, Fiber Optic lasers, and Haeger Pem Machines.
    • Read and interpret drawings along with visual inspection of sheet metal products.
    • Assist in setting up and calibrating equipment, performing preventative maintenance.
    • Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions.
    • Follow safety and quality standards to ensure a safe working environment.

    What's Needed?

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum of three to six months of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience.
    • Ability to read tape measure, calipers, or other measuring devices (or willingness to learn).
    • Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
    • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work effectively in a team environment.
