    Housing Works fights for funding and legislation to ensure that all people living with HIV/AIDS have access to quality housing, healthcare, HIV prevention, and treatment, among other lifesaving services.

    Compensation Range: $70,000-$75,000/yr commensurate with experience

    Overview:

    The Housing Works Inc. Justice Initiatives Department is a dedicated team to provide comprehensive, holistic services to individuals who are justice-involved. The department currently operates two programs in collaboration with the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ). 1) Voluntary in-custody discharge planning and post-release reentry services 2) Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) Program. The services offered include: in-custody discharge planning, post-release case management services, IDs and documents retrieval, housing placement assistance, connection to health and wellness services, vocational counseling, job training, paid internships, employment placement assistance and court-mandated individual and group level therapy.

    The ATI Program Manager will report to the Director of Justice Initiatives and will be responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing the day-to-day program operations of the ATI Program, oversee the court-based team and operations, lead networking activities with referral partners and court parties, supervise the Court Liaisons and complete daily, weekly and monthly compliance reports. The Program Manager will have experience working with individuals who are justice-involved, working knowledge of the criminal legal system, experience working with court mandated clients and supervisory experience.

    Responsibilities:

    Primary:
    • Provides day-to-day management of program services and troubleshoots as needed.
    • Provides bi-weekly supervision to the Court Liaisons.
    • Conducts monthly program audits to ensure program compliance and contractual needs are met.
    • Utilizes findings from monthly program audits to inform quality improvement efforts.
    • Assists with integrating MOCJ ATI Program with other Housing Works services and tracks program referrals.
    • Completes daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports in a timely manner.
    • Leads networking activities with potential referral partners and court parties.
    • Provides court-based programming coverage as needed.
    • Coordinates with the Clinical Coordinator to develop Treatment Plan Recommendations for clients in the enrollment process.
    • Collaborates with the Data Coordinator to develop and monitor data tracking systems for overseeing compliance data operations.
    • Oversees the connection between ATI and OASAS programming and troubleshoots as needed.
    • Attends weekly case conference meetings.
    • Participates in program and department leadership activities.
    Secondary:
    • Provide culturally competent services in accordance to Housing Works policies and practices.
    • Promotes Housing Works core values consistently.
    • Works collaboratively with other supervisors within the Justice Initiatives Department and cross-agency.
    • Attends a minimum of (2) Advocacy Events per quarter.
    • Presents services to other departments within Housing Works.
    Other functions that may be required with this position include:
    • Attend and participate staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
    • Responsiveness to emails, texts and phone calls.
    • Ability to adapt and successfully uphold job functions in a full remote workforce or hybrid in-person remote workforce environment.
    • Adhere to remote workforce policies, procedures and protocols.
    Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in social services, criminal justice, psychology or other related field required.
    • Master's Degree preferred.
    The following are qualifications and requirements of the position:
    • 2-4 years of relevant experience working in human services with individuals involved in the criminal legal system with mental health, substance use or behavioral health needs.
    • 2-4 years of program administration and supervisory experience.
    • Working knowledge of the criminal legal system.
    The following additional competencies are viewed as important to success in this position:
    • Preferably bi-lingual in Spanish.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Excellent or proficient technical skills to perform tasks related to Microsoft Office, email and case management systems.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
    • Dependability and reliability to arrive and depart timely for scheduled shift.
    • Ability to frequently travel within the boroughs via public transportation.
