    Who we are looking for

    Are you an expert CNC Machinist in the manufacturing space? If so then we have a dynamic new opportunity for you at our brand new 175,000 square foot, pioneering contract manufacturing facility Does the following sound like you?
    • Experienced in precision CNC machining (on-machine programming and/or execution) of a variety of materials (i.e. metals, alloys, plastics, composites, etc.)
    • Sophisticated knowledge & understanding of the applicable tools, techniques and skills required to support and perform the defined tasks (i.e. CNC controller navigation, tool and material setups & processing, etc.)
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings, BoM's and work instructions/aids
    What you get to do
    • Lead, mentor and work hand-in-hand with a small team of highly skilled machinists and operators
    • Perform CNC Operations, to include machine set-up for 3 - 5 axis vertical and horizontal milling capabilities, CNC lathe capabilities, etc.
    • Operate machines in accordance with internal process and any other required paperwork (i.e., drawings, specifications, etc.)
    • Use manufacturing paperwork (travelers, blueprints, sketches, etc.) to manufacture products that meet quality requirements
    • Inspect and verify work to ensure it meets specification requirements
    • Performs daily preventative maintenance on equipment and cleans work area after each shift
    • Maintains inventory of components, hardware and other necessary department items
    • Follows process routing document. Performs inspection(s) and legibly records results where required.
    • Communicates with management, team leads, operators, quality, and others for assignments and to resolve process or quality issues.
    • Follows all applicable Quality Management System procedures, work instructions, and forms
    • In-process guidance and support for technicians within their department/area
    • Coordination and alignment with supervisor(s), team leads (other departments/shifts), management and various other internal personnel
    • Support as subject matter expert for lean/continuous improvement events
    • Reporting on daily/shift-specific metrics and KPI's
    • Work with employees, supervisors, management to define and implement employee improvement and development plans
    What you bring to the Team
    • Must have 5+ years of CNC machinist experience
    • Must have experience with 3-5 axis machining, milling experience preferred
    • Apprenticeship, Associates degree or combination of training and hands-on experience required
    • Assembly of structures including setup, bonding, and fastener applications
    • Expert understanding and experience with precision CNC machining and/or programming including, but not limited to:
    • Properly and safely loads, runs, and unloads product in CNC machinery
    • Capability to write and perform on-machine CNC programming and program adjustments ad-hoc
    • Performs manual deburring operations as needed
    • Use a variety of hand tools in cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling
