PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Produce quality baking & pastry goods for all outlets (Rugby Grille, Afternoon Tea, Bakery, etc.)
- Checks with Executive Pastry Chef and Executive Chef for daily objectives.
- Develops and maintains the daily/weekly/seasonal specials and methods of preparation and presentation for dessert program.
- Ensures all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with standard recipes and presentations established by the Executive Pastry Chef or Executive Chef.
- Cleans and organizes workstation.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary culinary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes.
- Ensures assigned workstation has proper level of par stocks and supplies according to daily menus and banquets.
- Checks product/supply levels and adjusts to daily needs and communicates any shortages.
- Ensures daily par levels, produce and supply baked goods for all outlets, as directed.
- Prepare standard items to be executed by pastry team for times you are not there.
- Assists with staff instruction and follows through training throughout service.
- Assumes duties of Pastry Sous Chef in absence or as directed.

- College degree preferred with additional degree or certification from established culinary school
- 3-5 years' experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skilled with cooking and baking various types of pastries, breads, etc.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic computer knowledge and usage preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
