**CRRC SIFANG AMERICA INCORPORATED (CRRC) is a passenger railcar manufacturer in Chicago, Illinois. The passenger railcar manufacturing process includes 2 bargained-for work disciplines: assembly and electrical. The Procurement & Logistics Department employs different classifications of bargained-for Warehouse personnel who provide direct support to railcar production.**

**More particularly, the Warehouse staff receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products to Production employees and others, as requested.**

**Summary** Warehouse Foremen will be capable of and responsible for performing all tier levels (Entry Level Tier 3) of warehouse work, as necessary. Foremen will also be responsible for training, troubleshooting/correcting problems, and taking other actions or measures (including directing tier-level workers) to ensure an efficient and streamlined supply chain process.

Team Leads will be capable of and responsible for performing all tasks required of Foremen and must meet the requirements listed below in this job description. Team Leads are higher-level Foremen with demonstrated ability to not only do hands-on work but to successfully supervise, lead, mentor, and train all levels of workers, including Foremen. Team Leads will have the knowledge and ability to perform all tasks while overseeing others work with minimal instruction and directives from Supervisors and Management. Ideally, Team Leads will spend very little of their workdays doing hands-on work and will, instead, concentrate on the remainder of their responsibilities. CRRC shall not hire directly into the Team Lead position. Instead, Team Leads will be identified and promoted to said position based on a variety of work-related factors, including but not limited to their skill set, attitude, communication skills, supervisory talent, judgment and discretion, initiative, cooperation, and overall value to CRRC. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** Maintaining a clean and safe work area and Warehouse; Ensuring that Warehouse bargained-for staff wears necessary and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Doing hands-on warehouse/supply chain/inventory work (on all levels), as warranted; Coordinating the work of tier-level employees (and Foreman level for Team Leads); Collaborating and coordinating with Team Lead(s), Supervisor(s), and Manager; Assisting in the development and maintenance of supply chain/inventory-related documents, as warranted; Assisting Warehouse Supervisor(s) in issuing work assignments to unit personnel;

Inspecting all outgoing stock to ensure that they are in good condition and making certain that all documents are properly executed to ensure accuracy of records; Labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking goods for shipment, as necessary; Preparing and maintaining daily work and quality records; Providing guidance, constructive feedback, and training to tier-level workers (and Foremen for Team Leads), as necessary; Troubleshooting and taking corrective action, when appropriate; Working independently and with others to improve operational efficiency; Working independently and with others to address and resolve issues incurred in the supply chain process; Supervising workers under the direction and oversight of Team Lead(s), Supervisor(s), and Management (or Supervisor(s) and Management for Team Leads); and Performing other work, as assigned.

**Required Education and Experience**

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

Expert at warehouse/supply chain/inventory work processes or training in similar field(s)

Very skilled at operating equipment utilized in warehouse operations

Good understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices

Supervisory/leadership experience preferably in a manufacturing environment

Ability to assist Team Lead(s), Supervisor(s), and Management with a variety of hands-on and record-keeping tasks, as requested (or Supervisor(s) and Management for Team Leads)

Ability to substitute as a temporary Team Lead, as necessary (not applicable to Team Leads)

Extensive knowledge of warehouse operating procedures and protocol with proven supervisory and leadership skills

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Knowledge and ability to use inventory control and related computer software

Proven superior customer service and problem-solving skills

Personable, enthusiastic, ambitious, team-oriented, and able to lead by example

Ability to adjust and refocus in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
