    The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of marketing strategies, tactics, and programs for Populus Financial Group card product lines. This individual will be a member of an exciting, fast-paced, and growing team that is making an immediate impact diversifying our card products. This role is responsible for new customer engagement, existing customer lifecycle, and customer experience, through our email and app channels.

    This role will work cross-functionally with other Marketing team members, Product Management, Legal and Compliance, Operations, Finance, and other groups as necessary. Populus Financial Group is a results-oriented, fast-paced, and growing organization. This role will support Populus marketing strategy and execution and will report directly to the Director of Product Marketing.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Scale end-to-end lifecycle marketing campaigns for core distribution channels and product lines
    • Manage the new customer onboarding and marketing communication experience both in-app and through email
    • Optimize gaps found in customer behavior to drive desired behavior or business results
    • Design and develop programs focused on increasing customer lifetime value
    • Partner with internal and external creative services to develop new and maintain existing marketing materials
    • Evaluate marketing campaign performance and provide feedback on ways to optimize the customer experience
    • Develop and deploy customer surveys to gain insights and provide direction for product and marketing roadmaps
    • Respond to customer feedback in a timely manner
    • Assist in managing legal queues for marketing asset approval and provide teammates with timely and clear direction
    • Assist in ongoing product portfolio and customer segmentation strategies
    • Collaborate with outside vendors and agencies to achieve superior results

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business preferred
    • 2+ years of marketing experience in financial services preferred
    • Experience in lifecycle or customer relationship marketing preferred
    • Experience working in email and app channels for design and content and customer experience preferred
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position might require long hours and weekend work.
