- Supervise and guide two Quality Assurance Technicians to assess quality, track improvements, and develop best practices for inspections and processes.
- Organize quality inspections with internal and 3rd party inspectors.
- Determine which products require inspection based on historical data, review reports, and establish pass/fail outcomes.
- Issue and manage Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) requests and work with suppliers to resolve issues effectively.
- Partner with Product Development and suppliers to solve technical challenges related to material selection, processing, and performance, enabling scalable production solutions.
- Identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues using problem-solving methodologies.
- Use laboratory textile equipment to validate tech-pack requirements and measure quality metrics.
- Lead quality planning activities, including auditing, inspections, and control plans.
- Conduct quarterly briefings on Quality Assurance analytics and metrics.
- Research and evaluate textile materials to improve product performance and meet target attributes.
- Design experiments to analyze material properties and manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain accurate specification packs for cross-functional teams and manufacturers.
- Develop manufacturing SOPs for raw materials to ensure consistency in supplier production and accelerate development.
- Identify and address gaps in cross-functional team knowledge to enhance technical problem-solving.
- Recommend new technologies to unlock innovative materials and product attributes.
- Assist Sourcing in identifying potential partners through research and industry events.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Self-driven, motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Hands-on experience with quality audits and various types of inspections.
- Ability to work collaboratively and champion quality across all business areas.
- Strong Excel Skills (Reporting, Pivot tables, statistical formulas)
- Project management skills with experience in tools like Asana.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is desired.
- Extensive knowledge of fabric manufacturing processes.
- Deep understanding of textiles, including weaves, colors, treatments, and manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills for building relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- 3-5 years of experience in textile quality assurance is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
