    Responsibilities

    About the Role:

    The AVP Enterprise Software Development is responsible for developing and managing large scale, highly complex and proprietary software systems. This includes, but is not limited to, analysis, design, planning and execution of projects. The AVP Enterprise Software Development is a key contributor in determining technological direction, providing key software development guidance to his/her subordinates and managing development efforts to help ensure on-time delivery of assignments that meet the Company's quality and compliance standards.

    In this role, you will:
    • Plan and direct the work of development managers to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all assigned projects, ensuring that all applicable projects utilize the appropriate sanctioned project development and project management tools
    • Develop and maintain a rolling 3 month plan of resource utilization and assignment in conjunction with the customer's 3 month project delivery plan
    • Consult with customers to identify, evaluate and formulate strategies to deal with project development opportunities, as well as consistent communication regarding project status
    • Ensure the timely completion of maintenance and support activities to minimize system downtime to the customer
    • Work with IT and Business Management in developing business strategy
    • Ensure the creation of a Professional Development Plan for each team member and the completion of formal and informal performance evaluations
    • Ensure completion of all annual training and development objectives for each member
    • Review the skill sets of all team members, position assignments and project requirements to ensure that critical skill sets do not rest with a single team member
    • Complete both repetitive and ad hoc reports as needed by management
    • Ensure strong team morale and employee commitment
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Conform with all company policies and procedures

    • Significant experience in a large and complex business environment
    • Working knowledge of the consumer loan business
    • Working knowledge of the corporate business solution environment
    • Ability to effectively lead, organize and supervise
    • Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives
    • Advanced computer skills and conversance in information technology issues
    • Deadline oriented
    • Excellent writing and speaking skills
    • Good in the use of Microsoft Office software including the ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes
    • Strong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels and work directly with senior level management
    Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
    • 7-10 years progressively responsible software development and management experience preferred
    • Greater than 10 years relevant IT experience preferred
    • Fast-paced office environment
    • Limited travel may be required to support business needs
    • Must be able to deal with stressful office conditions while troubleshooting problems
