    As the Diesel Mechanic - Truck | Trailer , you will diagnose and repair semi's, tandem's, tri-dump and various models of trailers in our new, state of the art shop located in Spicer, MN.

    Responsible for performing the maintenance and repairs on all types of equipment as directed by the maintenance schedule, adjusting as needed.

    Including the abilities to diagnose and repair problems related to hydraulic components, steering systems, engines, transmissions, drive train, and braking systems of equipment utilizing Cummins Insite or CAT SIS software.


    • Performs diagnostics to identify issues and make necessary adjustments to equipment for safe and efficient operation.
    • Takes part in scheduled preventive maintenance projects within the shop and field as needed.
    • Works alongside other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs
    • Travel to job site locations, as needed, to perform P.M.'s, diagnostics and assist in repairs within the field.
    • Ensure proper and accurate documentation is maintained for all vehicle maintenance and repairs. Including recording the work performed, time and materials used for each job.
    • Performs safety inspections of equipment and documents the work.
    * ensuring all safety policies and procedures are practiced and enforced.
    2-year AAS degree in Diesel Technology or combination of training and experience is required.

    • Experience on heavy trucks, trailers, medium duty vehicles, etc. (diagnostic testing, hydraulics, brakes, diesel engine, etc.)
    • Solid knowledge of heavy construction equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, transmissions, electrical, fuel and other systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a wide variety of tasks and projects while maintaining ongoing open lines of communication regarding progress and expectations.
    • Proficient within Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams) and an ability to learn applicable business applications.
    • Ability to travel as needed.
