    JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSScheduled Weekly Hours: 36Work Shift: 7a; FT & PRN (as needed)

    Summary of the Job:
    The LPN UA position is responsible for supporting inpatient nursing care units under the direction of the registered nurse (RN)

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Current Louisiana LPN Licensure and current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.

    The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. . Intravenous (IV) Therapy certification required. Additional certification requirements vary by department. Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills required. Must have typing and computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and be able to perform detail oriented tasks. Ability to meet weekend and holiday requirements.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    One year med/surg experience preferred


    Physical Demands:
    Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
