Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a mid-level engineer for a variety of water/wastewater assignments.

The preferred candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in delivering water and wastewater projects for municipal clients and possess an active NY PE license.

Minimum education requirements are a BS in

Civil/Environmental/Chemical/

Mechanical Engineering with an MS preferred.

Candidate to be involved with a wide range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, which can include treatment, distribution, and collection systems.

Position will include leading and delivering municipal water and wastewater facilities planning and design projects.

Tasks will include project management, preparation of assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, equipment sizing/ selection, preparation of construction documents, support construction management/ commissioning needs, etc.

Field work and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel.

Candidate should be capable of supervising junior staff and managing small projects, must possess excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.

Must be proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). CADD and other software (GIS, etc.) skills will be considered a plus.

Candidate must have strong organizational skills.
