Responsibilities:

The primary duty of the clinical nurse is to provide patient care by assessing, planning, executing, and assessing patient needs with the utmost professionalism, while fostering nursing excellence through continuous learning and research. This practice is based on the stipulations of Title 22 and Title 16, the ANA Scope & Standards of Practice, and the Code of Ethics.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements

• Completion of High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or fulfillment of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is mandatory

• Completion of a recognized nursing program is essential

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is advantageous

Professional Background

• Demonstrated proficiency in Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice is a prerequisite

Licenses and Certifications

• Holding a valid RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license is obligatory

• Current possession of BLS - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
